On the night of Jan 28th, a wooden boat came ashore at Cape Korakas, Lesvos island. Filmed the morning after, the footage takes you inside the boat. Life jackets, clothes, documents, prayer books, a bag of nuts and almonds, plastic bottles were left behind. The steering wheel and gear box had been removed, while the boat name had been concealed with black paint.
While Korakas is considered to be the most dangerous landing point in the island, boats still arrive here at night, misguided by the lighthouse that has been installed on the cliffs.

Korakas, is considered to be the most dangerous landing point in the island, as boats arrive here at night, misguided by the old lighthouse that sits on the cliff, the waves breaking on the rocks.

Lighthouse Relief, along with CK Team Lesvos Refugees have assumed rescue duties, while also clearing the shores of boat remains.
