Syriza Cambridge event at the Friends Meeting House (12 Jesus Lane, CB5 8BA) on Wednesday 6th March, 7:00pm-9:00pm.
In the recent years Europe has been in the center of a global socio-economic crisis. In order to understand the impact of the crisis and the potential alternatives to the currently failing policies we are organising an open political discussion. In this event, we will have the honour to host two distinguished speakers: Dr Stathis Kouvelakis, Reader in Political Theory, King’s College London and member of the central political committee of SYRIZA, andAditya Chakraborty, economics leader writer for the Guardian. We will invite our speakers to explore parallels and differences between Greece and the UK, with respect to the handling and the effects of the financial crisis and the possible strategies to overcome it. We hope that the initial statements will lead to a fruitful discussion among the speakers and the attendees.
Syriza Cambridge events are free and open to all and no places need to be booked in advance.
