Greek-American Radicals- the Untold Story
is a documentary that narrates the story of Greek-American radicalsm from the era of mass migration (1880s) till the New Left 1960s. A story of collective struggles, radical ideas, exciting journeys and forgotten traditions interwoven with the times of upheaval, social and political movements, persecutions and collective disillusionments.
Focusing from the Great Depression to the Spanish Civil War International Brigades and from the activities of the Greek Workers’ Educational Clubs to the deportations of the McCarthy era, Greek-American Radicals- the Untold Story brings forth an alternative vision of Greek-American history that highlights the transformations and multiple interrelations between ethnicity, class and radicalsm in the 20th century United States.
